RICCARDO IANNIELLO SET FOR A NEW CHALLENGE IN THE
ITALIAN GT SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIP

Motorsport is often made of waiting, silence, and restarts. For Riccardo Ianniello, 2025 represents the natural continuation of a path only temporarily interrupted: a return to speed, to the rhythm of the track, to that personal trajectory that has always guided him through the world of racing.

After a 2024 season prematurely halted by a road accident – far from the racetrack, but serious enough to require a prolonged stop – the young talent, born in 2007, is ready to get back into action. Ianniello will be a key player in the Italian GT Sprint Championship, taking on four of the most iconic circuits on the national calendar: Vallelunga, Mugello, Imola, and Monza.

The season opener is scheduled for May 23–25 at Vallelunga, the stage for his official return to racing. At the wheel of the Lamborghini Huracán ST Evo2 fielded by DL Racing, Ianniello will compete in the fiercely contested GT Pro-Am class, where every thousandth of a second matters and experience merges with the hunger to shine. At his side throughout the championship will be Vittorio Viglietti,
with whom he’ll share the car.

For Riccardo, this is not just about driving again—it’s about reconnecting with the raw adrenaline that only competition can deliver; regaining that feeling with the car, with speed and with the journey that began in karting, was crowned with an Italian GT Endurance title and continued in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo—establishing him as one of the most promising young talents on the Italian racing
scene.

Physically recovered thanks to an intensive rehabilitation program supported by the team at Athletica Cetilar, and mentally sharper than ever, Ianniello approaches the season with renewed awareness but the same determination that has always defined him.

The goal is clear: get back to fighting at the front. Because some returns aren’t just comebacks. They’re statements of intent.

'I’m full of energy and ready to give my best this season,' said Riccardo Ianniello. 'After the injury, getting back behind the wheel feels even more special—I can’t wait to start racing again. The goals are clear, as always: win and perform well with my teammate, Vittorio Viglietti. The Italian GT Sprint is new to me; I’ve never competed in this format before, but the feeling is great. I feel very confident and I truly believe we can achieve strong results from the start. We have a real shot at the podium, and we’ll see how the championship develops. There’s a lot of work to be done with the engineers, the DL Racing team, and with Vittorio—but we’re ready. We’re determined to make our mark.'
